Kim Mathers Held in Jail After Bond Revoked

After a court hearing on Thursday, August 13, Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Mathers is being held in Macomb County Jail until October unless she enters an inpatient treatment centre.

The prosecution called for this measure because of multiple reported bond violations Kim committed since bond conditions were first imposed after the February hit-and-run case.

Overall, she now has three cases in court. The February 2026 case includes operating while impaired, for which she pleaded no contest, and failure to report an accident, for which she pleaded guilty, reports Detroit Free Press, citing online court records. She also faces a May felony operating-while-intoxicated case and, from July, two felony counts on charges related to the alleged assault of a police officer, to which she pleaded not guilty.

According to a prosecutor, Kim’s electronic GPS and SoberLink alcohol-monitoring tethers flagged numerous violations. Combined with missing court hearing dates and her failure to enter treatment, all of this tipped the balance and resulted in Kim’s bond being revoked.

The only way for her to leave jail before her October 14 hearings would be to enter an approved inpatient treatment facility, said Esther Wolfe, communications director for the county prosecutor’s office.
