Joyner Lucas' x Eminem’s “What If I Was Gay” track’ lyrics

Allegedly, Joyner Lucas recorded “What If I Was Gay” for his ADHD project released in 2019. But it has never seen the light of the day officially.

This collaboration with Eminem was leaked in August 2019 and drew a lot of attention. Firstly, because any verse recorded by Eminem goes directly into the limelight, and secondly, because of the controversial song topic. While Joyner talked from the perspective of a guy coming out as gay to his best friend, Eminem narrated the position of this friend, if not overtly homophobic, then at least blatantly unsupportive. Em’s verse ended with a sudden revelation that his character might have been gay too.

Not many people were ready to support the message, some had issues with Em’s choppy delivery, but the public reaction meant very little as the song was scrubbed from the album anyway.

Now, a new version of the track has surfaced, presenting a slightly different verse from Eminem and another plot twist in the verse’s ending. What is still not there is the hook that Skylar Grey recorded for the song.
