It has been reported that Matthew David Hughes, who recently was arrested for breaking into Eminem’s home, tried to track Marshall down last summer.
The suspect was arrested for breaking and entering in June 2019, reports TMZ. His first hit was at a house in Rochester Hills after 2 AM. He threw a rock through the front window but was scared off by law enforcement. Hughes waited for them to leave and returned, knocked on a window and said he was “looking for his brother, Marshall”. Then he moved to another property.
He allegedly got past security fencing and a gated entrance in Oakland Township and was walking the property previously owned by Marshall around 4:30 AM. Police say he then rang the doorbell and asked where Eminem was. The homeowner told Hughes Em didn’t live there and he but not too far, as police found him hiding under a bed on the second floor of the property’s gatehouse.
He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and fined almost $1,400, which he was unable to pay.
Apparently, the encounter with the law did not stop him as in April he attempted to break into Eminem’s house again. This time, charged with first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building, he can expect up to 20 years in jail.
