Marshall’s memorabilia vinyl made a debut on the chart right behind new releases from country and pop stars.

As we reported previously, Em’s vinyl from the Fortnite merch capsule debuted on Billboard this week, making some noise in two different rankings.

“Fortnite Radio” launches strong at No.8 on the Vinyl Albums chart. Eminem’s title became the third-highest start of the week on the vinyl-only chart, coming in behind new releases from Kacey Musgraves (“Deeper Well” at No. 1) and Justin Timberlake (“Everything I Thought It Was” at No. 2). This marks Eminem’s fourth entry on this specific list. The previous, a proper greatest hits compilation, “Curtain Call 2”, debuted on the same ranking in 2022 at the same eighth position. Two other entries were “Music To Be Murdered By” and “The Marshall Mathers LP 2”, both at No.4.

While some reports, such as the recent Forbes article, might call it an album, remember that “Fortnite Radio” is a unique project featuring Eminem’s in-game radio segments and clean versions of songs played on the platform. It’s a limited-edition collector’s item, not a full studio release.

Despite its unique nature, “Fortnite Radio” still managed to grab the No.19 spot on the Top Album Sales chart, selling over 3,700 copies. That’s impressive, considering its limited availability.

The fact that even this special project can compete with brand-new studio releases from traditionally better selling pop and country genres shows two things: the current state of the music market and the undeniable power of Eminem’s name.
