People in hip-hop keep combining imaginary parings for imaginary Verzuz battles and Eminem keeps intriguing them.

Just the other week N.O.R.E. tried to provoke DMX saying that Eminem would like to battle him, only DMX could see through his rouse and dismissed this claim as something that N.O.R.E. wanted and not Eminem.

Fat Joe, who was present at the very beginning of this conversation said from the very beginning that Eminem’s fan base would make it impossible to anyone to go against Marshall. Still, there are people around who are unconvinced.

Popular radio host Charlemagne tha God, who more than once admitted that he is not an Eminem fan, to put it mildly, and could never relate to his music, discussed this matter again on Instagram live with Fat Joe. After Joe repeated that nobody could beat Eminem, Charlemagne went ballistic. He disagreed so passionately and claimed that he could easily name a full list of rappers who would wash Eminem in a Verzuz battle. He could not even name seven. His short list, made with long pauses between names goes like this: Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, DMX, T.I., Nas.

Fat Joe could only laugh. Charlemagne made a series of very questionable statements such as: if Eminem was black he would be Redman, if Marshall goes to Verzuz he is going to be embarrassed and will lose because he has no club bangers and no songs to go against other rappers. With a genuine amusement, Charlemagne asked:

What is he gonna play? “Hi, my name is”?! That’s gonna beat Lil Wayne’s “A Millie”? That’s gonna beat T.I.’s “What you know about that”? That’s gonna beat Jay-Z “You don’t know”?
If it was battle of rhyming Eminem can take anybody but song for song? Eminem’s got no club bangers! What Eminem song plays in the club?

He finished with the statement that Eminem would embarrass himself if he went on Verzuz. Fat Joe could not disagree more. He reminded Charlemagne that Eminem has “the most loyal fans in the universe” that can overpower any fandom in the comments – and this is something that counts on Verzuz. Fat Joe was merciful enough not to remind about No.1 hits that make the number of people who can even start measuring themselves against Marshall extremely small. He reminded, however, what is important about rap:

There are different lanes for everybody. The reason why hip-hop is so beautiful is it’s so diverse.
