Despite Slaughterhouse’s rocky exit from Shady Records, KXNG Crooked still saw the label as a good home for his brothers.
Crook recently shared that when he played Family Bvsiness’ “Grand Opening EP” for Eminem, the conversation naturally turned to what it would look like for the group to sign with Shady. Em was impressed, even producing three tracks for them — “Skip This Ad”, “Liquor Store Church”, and “Hot Sauce”. And while the deal never came to life, it is clear that Crook seriously considered it.
I played this EP for Eminem in his studio and he said “I did not know your brothers could rap at such a high level!”.. Then he produced several songs on them. We also discussed what it would look like for them to be on Shady. Bump this! https://t.co/wG8bKH0ins

That says a lot, given Slaughterhouse’s history. The group’s departure from Shady was not exactly smooth, but Crook has always made it clear: whatever happened with Slaughterhouse did not affect his respect for Eminem or the label. If anything, the fact that he wanted his brothers there speaks volumes.
