Question: What is Eminem’s real name?
Answer: Marshall Bruce Mathers III
Q: When and where was he born?
A: He was born in Saint Joseph, Missourri, U.S.A on October 17th 1972 (which makes him now 39), but grew up mostly in Detroit. His family moved around a lot when he was younger.
Q: What is Eminem’s newest album / project?
A: The most recent project available is the Bad Meets Evil EP: Hell The Sequel. Eminem’s most recent solo album is Recovery, which was released in June 2010.
Q: Bad Meets Evil? Who’s in that group? Where did the name come from?
A: Bad Meets Evil is a rap duo consisting of Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″. The name came from the song “Bad Meets Evil” that was recorded for the Slim Shady LP back in 1999. “Hell The Sequel” is a reference to some of the lyrics on that particular song.
Q: Who are the members of D12?
FORMER:
A: Proof (deceased), Bugz (deceased), Kon Artis (Mr. Porter, Em’s hypeman), Swifty McVay, Bizarre, Kuniva, Fuzz and Eminem of course.
CURRENT:
A: Swifty McVay, Kuniva & Fuzz
Q: Who is Fuzz? I’ve never seen him in any D12 videos or songs.
A: Fuzz was originally a member of D12 back before the Slim Shady LP came out. He appeared on the track No One’s Iller Than Me on the Slim Shady EP. 5 years after Proof’s death, D12 decided to bring him back.
Q: Who are all the current members of Shady Records?
A: Eminem, Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf, D12, Bad Meets Evil and 50 Cent.
Q: What happened to Obie Trice?
A: Obie left Shady Records to do his own thing around 2007-08. Him and Em are still cool, in fact they collabed together on Obie’s album Bottom’s Up on a song titled “Richard.”
Q: Who is D’Angelo Bailey from the song Brain Damage?
A: The lines about him in that song are true for the most part. He was Eminem’s childhood bully. He picked on and beat him so often that it seemed like a daily routine. He also issued a 1 million dollar lawsuit against Eminem for his lyrics for defamation of character, but it fell through.
Q: I heard Eminem made an Osama Bin Laden diss track, is that true?
A: No, he has never made a song pretending to be Osama Bin Laden. He’s referenced him in some songs and videos, but that particular diss song is fake. Kuniva of D12 confirmed this on Twitter in 2010.
Q: Where can I hear the song from the background of The Kiss (Skit)?
A: You can’t, it was never released. There’s a freestyle he did that uses some of the same lyrics though, you can listen to that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7izShzaNrg
Q: Who is Kim?
A: Kim has always been Eminem’s significant other since they were young. She’s referenced on several songs but they are currently divorced.
Q: How many kids does Eminem have?
A: 3. Hailie, Alaina and Whitney. Only Hailie is biologically his though. Alaina is his adopted daughter, who is the biological daughter of Kim’s twin sister. She’s also referred to as “Lainy” on some of his songs. Whitney is the biological daughter of Kim, and another man, but Eminem has custody of her.
Q: What about Nathan Mathers?
A: That’s Eminem’s half brother, meaning he and Em have different fathers. He’s appeared in some music videos such as The Way I Am and Without Me. He’s currently pursuing a rap career in the shadows of his older brother under the name Nate Kane.
Q: Who are Eminem’s parents?
A: His mom is Debbie Mathers, and his father is Marshall Bruce Mathers II. Eminem and his father have never spoken since he left him when he was just a baby.
Q: I bought the Marshall Mathers LP, but I can’t find the song Kim. Where is it?
A: Sounds like you have the clean version. This version features the song “The Kids” instead of Kim.
Q: What is this “Straight From The Vault EP” ? Is it official?
A: No, it’s not official, but all the songs on it are “new”. It consists of a bunch of leaked material from different points in Em’s career. Eminem makes a response to the leaking of his material in the song “Take From Me” on the Hell: The Sequel EP. There’s also another EP called Straight From The Lab which was put out by Eminem in 2003. It features a bunch of songs from that time period, mainly focused on the material that leaked around that time and the songs concerning the beef with Benzino. Some of these tracks were intended for Encore, which is why you see them also appear on Encore’s 2nd disc.
Q: What can we expect in the future from Eminem and Shady Records?
A: Yelawolf released his Shady Records debut album, “Radioactive” on November 21st 2011. Eminem makes appearances on Throw It Up with Yelawolf and Gangsta Boo, and also on In This World, a bonus track. Slaughterhouse will dropping their Shady Records debut album, “welcome to: OUR HOUSE” on June 12th 2012. Eminem is featured on a track that he produced which Crooked I described as “psycho.” Let the speculation begin.
Q: I want all of Eminem’s music on my iPod! Where can I get every song?
A: Here’s a list of every Eminem song there is
Q: Eminem produces, do you know where I can see all of his beats?
A: There’s a list for this as well, right here
Q: Why were the songs “Echo” and “Living Proof” bonus tracks on the Bad Meets Evil EP?
A: Echo and Living Proof leaked roughly 6-8 months prior to the EP’s release. These songs were originally supposed to be the EP, but due to the leaking of the songs, were replaced with “The Reunion” and “A Kiss” but were added as bonus tracks to the EP.
The question of what Echo was originally supposed to be is still unknown…as to whether it was an Eminem track sent to TI (based on the ending of Em’s verse in the leaked version of the song) and if it was, what exactly was the reason it never happened, or if TI was supposed to feature on the song with Em and Royce for the EP.
