Eminem Surprises Fans in Downtown Detroit with Impromptu Signing

Eminem made an unexpected appearance in downtown Detroit last night, stopping to sign autographs for a handful of lucky fans.

He was leaving his restaurant, Mom’s Spaghetti, with Paul Rosenberg, his security, and Detroit police officers clearing the way. Em paused when someone asked him to sign a Live from Detroit poster from the Michigan Central opening show, and even signed one girl’s arm.

The video shows the fan completely stunned, repeating, “He held my arm!” as the moment sinks in.

Who knows if fans had gathered by chance or knew he might show up. However, the area – home to Mom’s Spaghetti, The Shack merch store, and close to the Ford Field arena – often draws both locals and tourists hoping for a glimpse of Detroit’s biggest star. Still, it is no secret that Eminem visits the spot for Make-A-Wish meetups.

Also, yesterday, comedian Adam Sandler performed his “You’re My Best Friend” show at Little Caesars Arena and visited Mom’s Spaghetti, located in the same building. So, it might not be a coincidence that Em went there to meet with his friend. The friend who filmed his cameo for “Happy Gilmore 2”.

Whatever the reason, for one fan, this brief encounter turned into an unforgettable Detroit night. Slim Shady still knows how to make dreams come true.
