An official confirmation, release date and cover art, and a promise of a new song – all this and more information about the upcoming greatest hits compilation came in one day.

Eminem has been dropping surprise albums since 2018, but for this one, he decided to take an old familiar road.

First clues came in the “From the D 2 the LBC” visuals and were deciphered by hungry fans at the drop of a hat. A social media post from a video director confirmed the theory but was swiftly edited to remove all hints And now, finally, the official confirmation from the man:

🚨#CURTAINCALL2 DROPS 8/5 – HIT THE LINK FOR ALL DETAILS🚨 http://bit.ly/CurtainCall2
#Relapse #Recovery #MMLP2 #Revival #Kamikaze #MTBMB #MTBMBSIDEB

The cover art combines iconic imagery referencing these albums and features the same pinball machine font the fans spotted in the video. And the stream of hashtags obviously indicates albums to provide hits for this compilation and, of course, it is each and every one released since 2005, after the original “Curtain Call: The Hits” The collection will include tracks from “Relapse” (2009), “Recovery” (2010), “The Marshall Mathers LP2” (2013), “Revival” (2017), “Kamikaze” (2018), and “Music to Be Murdered By” (2020).

The official website informs that Em’s two latest tracks, the Eminem/Snoop Dogg collaboration “From the D 2 the LBC” and “The King and I”, recorded for the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic, will be featured on the compilation Together with a new surprise:

Along with the two recently released songs above, there will be one additional previously unreleased track on the collection, to be revealed in the coming weeks.

The compilation drops on August 8. When will we hear a new track?
