Eminem’s Classic Hits New Chart Highs

Eminem’s Classic Hits New Chart Highs

With no new music on the market, Eminem climbs the charts higher than ever before. And on a ranking that tracks sales, not streams.

“Till I Collapse” hits a new peak

The track, featuring Nate Dogg, re-enters the Billboard Rap Digital Song Sales chart at No.4. By now, the song has spent 186 weeks on the list. However, this is its highest position yet.

Notably, this chart tracks pure sales. It reflects what fans choose to buy from digital platforms, not just stream. So, the climb says a lot about long-term demand.

In an industry where old singles usually fall into obscurity after the album cycle ends, this upward trend, 20 years after release, is unique. For Eminem, though, it is already a familiar sight.

“Lose Yourself” is back for more

Eminem’s Oscar-winning anthem, “Lose Yourself”, is a perfect example of such longevity. It is one of Eminem’s 19 No.1 hits on Billboard’s Rap Digital Song Sales chart. Moreover, it took the top spot there for the first time more than 20 years after the release.

Now, it is back in the race. The song rises to No.2 on this chart. Only T.I.’s “Let ‘Em Know” stands in the way.

In total, “Lose Yourself” has spent 536 weeks on the list. That is one of the longest runs in rap history.

At the same time, Em’s classic is rising in another ranking. It climbs from No. 11 to No. 7 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart. That list covers a wider mix of genres. Still, the selection follows the same main principle – focusing on actual sales, not streaming.

Global influence

Beyond the US, Eminem’s presence remains undeniable. Both “Without Me” and “Love the Way You Lie” appear on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart. This list tracks the 200 most popular songs in the world without any input from the US market. So, the fact that Em has two songs there recognises his reach and longevity.

There is no other way to stay in rotation than by remaining relevant to the changing world. And Marshall’s classics seem to have no expiration date.
