The “Godzilla” director who sparked the rumours about Post Malone collaborating with Eminem has commented on the situation.

Responding to the RapTV news post on Instagram, Cole Bennett plays coy and asks rhetorical questions of why people are getting so worked up about a picture of a baseball bat:

damn, I can’t post a bat?

To be honest, this comment does not bring any clarity, as it is neither confirms nor denies the highly anticipated collaborative video.

Meanwhile, he posted these pictures twice over one week, and the very atmosphere of secrecy he maintains around adds to the suspense. We have spent some time analysing visual clues on pictures Cole Bennett shared on his Instagram account. Both pictures: the one that was quickly deleted and another, that stayed online for hours.

Bennett has also reposted a screen from the RapTV post with both his stories captured and caption it with:

lol this shit has gone too far

And still, it is not a statement that nothing is happening, and there is nothing to expect from either Post Malone or Marshall. It is just a confirmation that two random pictures can inspire the whole news cycle and ignite the highest anticipation among fans. Cole Bennett knows it perfectly well, and if indeed he used it to promote a new video – well done to him.
