Yelawolf broke up his ties with white nationalists while supporting the movement against racial injustice.
Adam Calhoun is a country and hip-hop singer who makes specific emphasis on his American patriotism. His recent contribution to the discussion of social inequality and racism provoked an emotional while a well worded response from Yelawolf.
Adam Calhoun decided to reinforce All Lives Matter narrative with a post where he stated: “If you think All Lives Matter doesn’t mean anything until Black Lives Matter, you’re wrong. Please shut up. There are injustices that happen to PEOPLE OF COLOR as well as WHITE people”.
Yelawolf responded to him in comments:
For the record … respectfully Adam .. I don’t agree with this … NOW is NOT the time to address white people’s injustice .. This is a demonstration of support for the Black community as a nation .. in particular Black men .. for our brothers / children and family as a globe .. it’s one step at a time man. First things first #blacklivesmatter #humanrace #slumerican
Later it has become known that Yelawolf withdrew his feature from Adam Calhoun and Struggle Jennings’ upcoming album because of their political differences.
However, that was not the only contribution from Yelawolf. He is also supporting protests and raising money for the family of George Floyd, directing proceedings from his online shop to their “go fund me” page.
