The G-Unit mastermind has made up his mind and will only release one more album – his last.
The rumours started spreading earlier, after an Instagram post where Fifty said:
Smile my next album might be my last. I terrorized hip hop for 14 years, don’t believe me Nielsen, the numbers will never lie but I’m nobody’s favorite. Smh. Nah I’m Top 10 dead or alive and I’m not done.
Some saw it as 50 Cent once again establishing his superiority while acknowledging the unpredictability of life. However, his earlier remarks about not feeling at home in the new industry environment made many hip hop fans question to what extent Fifty was serious.
Hosts on the Talk had the same query and directly asked 50 Cent about his plans. Fifty practically confirmed that he does not think in terms of albums anymore. Seems like he is comfortable with what he is doing now — focuses on his TV projects and records theme songs for his shows:
I probably think I’ll deliver another full-length album, then the other things that I do will be connected to film and television in a different way. I’m cool with having so much success in this area that I have opportunities to keep releasing music through the projects that I’m bringing.
