Eminem fans have been buzzing online after a tweet from “Music Industry Insider” sparked speculation about a possible new album dropping next week.

The tweet mentions an unnamed rapper with “TBA Guest Features”, including Rihanna and Lil Wayne. With no new releases from major hip hop artists on the horizon, fans overwhelmingly believe this points to Eminem, a theory fueled by the immense appetite for new music.

Adding fuel to the fire, a comment mentioned a snippet White Gold shared online last summer. It featured the lyrics “Hey Slim”, referencing Eminem’s dark alter ego Slim Shady. This unreleased track seemed to hint at a potential collaboration with Eminem.

However, White Gold himself took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the situation. He revealed that the “Hey Slim” song was a personal idea he hadn’t planned to release and apologized for the confusion:

That song is never coming out… I hadn’t even sent it. It was just an idea I was working on that I forgot to put in my close friends. Sorry.

While White Gold’s comments dampen hopes for an immediate “Hey Slim” collab, his past collaborations with Eminem on “You Gon’ Learn” and “Zeus” are out there for everybody to enjoy.

The saga highlights the intense desire among Eminem’s fans for a new album. Whether the rumours swirling online translate into a concrete release next week remains to be seen. But one thing’s certain: the wait has only amplified the excitement surrounding Eminem’s next musical move.
