Timbaland and Swizz Beatz are getting used to making impossible things happen on Verzuz so now they do not discard the chance to have Dr. Dre over.
Producers behind the new hip hop sensation, Verzuz battles, said on TMZ that now, after Jeezy and Gucci Mane entered one room and run one show, everything is possible. But when confronted with the question about the possibility of arranging a battle between Diddy and Jay-Z, they honestly answer that chances are slim.
However, that was not their answer to the suggestion of Dr. Dre vs. Diddy battle. Swizz Beatz was quick to come up with the reassuring statement:
Now that’s something different. But you know, the way Verzuz works… Everybody has these magical wishes that they want, but the universe has been bringing these magical wishes. I cannot even say what is not gonna happen anymore. A lot of the Verzuz, just like the last one we’ve seen, everybody said that it could not happen. Right? So now, we just let the universe naturally make things happen. […] I am not gonna say no about Dr. Dre and Diddy battle. I am never gonna say no anymore.
That would be indeed a view to behold, Dr. Dre swinging his enormous catalogue at… well, anyone.
However, this particular idea of pairing is not that new and shocking. That was one of the first suggestions from Beatz, he also wanted to make it a pay-per-view event. Diddy heard that and mentioned to Fat Joe that he was discussing with Dre this particular possibility back in April.
