As fans celebrated 25 years of “The Marshall Mathers LP”, Slim Shady made a surprise multi-chart appearance across the UK, with one classic re-entering completely unannounced.
This week, Eminem’s UK chart performance got a nostalgic lift, thanks to the MMLP 25th anniversary. With the expanded edition now available on streaming, the album re-entered the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums Chart at No. 31 and even landed back on the Album Downloads Chart at No. 81.
But it was not just MMLP that made the changes. “The Slim Shady LP” somehow re-entered the Hip Hop and R&B chart at No. 24, despite no obvious promo or trigger. We are not sure what caused it, but we are not complaining. “The Death of Slim Shady” remains within the Top 25 despite slipping 7 points down.
Meanwhile, the long-reigning “Curtain Call: The Hits” continues its epic run, charting across four different UK charts, including a Top 15 spot on the Streaming Albums Chart and No.24 on the general UK Official Albums chart, one point up since the previous week. “Curtain Call 2” is also holding strong, still appearing on the streaming and main album rankings.
Looks like Slim Shady’s back… back again.
