This lead single off Em’s third album “The Marshall Mathers LP” was released in 2000 a month before the album’s release. Since then it has become one of Marshall’s most popular songs. Which now celebrates a new milestone.

The track has got a billion on-demand streams coming from the US.

In general, on-demand streams combine plays from various music streaming services, including paid subscription-based services like Apple Music and Amazon Music, hybrid paid/ad-supported platforms such as Spotify and SoundCloud, and ad-supported services like YouTube. It’s worth noting that this category does not include plays from programmed services like Pandora radio. While the weight given to plays from paid and unpaid sources may vary depending on the methodology used, we’re excited to see this achievement regardless.

1.25 billion streams on Spotify and 784 million views on YouTube. It is easy to imagine that together with other platforms the US listeners have generated one billion out of Em’s total gains from “The Real Slim Shady”.
