Eminem has strong connections to Michigan State University nicknamed Spartans. For instance, his daughter, Hailie Jade Scott Mathers, received her degree from MSU in 2018. Additionally, Eminem’s longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, is an MSU graduate. In addition, the Marshall Mathers Foundation supports and assists in the management of the Verses Project at MSU. This project aims to teach young people in Detroit how to write songs and create music through MSU’s Community Music School in Detroit.
Marshall is known as a strong supporter of gun control and touched upon the topic of senseless gun violence many times, most famously on ”Darkness”, the first single from his most recent album “Music to Be Murdered By”.
