Eminem & Jack White, Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Halftime Show, 11/27/2025

Even in a year without a major release, Eminem has once again proven that his music still moves people across generations.

Chartmasters released its annual streaming report, ranking the most listened-to artists on Spotify from January 1 to December 31, 2025, and Slim Shady made the cut with ease.

Eminem landed at No. 24 on the list, with 6.30 billion streams in 2025 alone.

Fewer Artists Cross the 5 Billion Mark in 2025

Reaching 5 billion streams in a single year remains one of the toughest achievements in the modern music industry. In 2025, only 35 artists reached that mark, down from 37 in 2024.

Even global powerhouses fell short. Artists like Future, Shakira, Maroon 5, BTS, Beyoncé, Arctic Monkeys, and Ozuna didn’t make the cut this time. The pace of streaming growth has slowed, and it’s clear that competition at the top is fiercer than ever.

Meanwhile, several artists who ranked high just a year ago dropped off the list entirely. That includes Zach Bryan (No.21 in 2024), Post Malone (No.26), Natanael Cano (No.27), Metro Boomin (No.30), Olivia Rodrigo (No.31), Dua Lipa (No.32), and Imagine Dragons (No.36).

Against this backdrop, Eminem’s consistency stands out. With 6.3 billion streams in 2025 and no new album release, he remained well within the top tier.

No New Album But Still Breaking Records

It’s been one of Eminem’s quietest years in terms of output. But that didn’t stop fans from revisiting his catalogue in massive numbers. His latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)”, continues to perform well, now closing in on 2 billion streams.

Meanwhile, “The Eminem Show” remains his undisputed classic, adding millions of plays each month. The 2002 album hit a 9 billion mark in 2025. Following that, we expect it to reach 10 billion streams in 2026. In fact, it would make it the first album from the pre-streaming era to hit that milestone.

Legacy in Numbers

Eminem is now No.8 on Spotify’s all-time most streamed artists list, with over 54 billion total streams. In 2025, only six rappers made the 5 billion mark:

4 (3 in 2024) Drake – 12.64B streams
7 (17 in 2024) Kendrick Lamar – 9.45B streams
16 (7 in 2024) Kanye West – 7.12B streams
24 (11 in 2024) Eminem – 6.30B streams
25 (9 in 2024) Travis Scott – 6.29B streams
31 (NE in 2024) Tyler, The Creator – 5.66B streams

Despite being in his fifties, Em’s enduring presence shows the power of longevity. While trends come and go, few artists have managed to stay relevant and loved in the way he has.
