Eminem’s fast-food restaurant launched its permanent Ford Field location on the day the Lions defeated the Green Bay Packers.
At the stadium, Mom’s Spaghetti stuck to three menu options: Mom’s Spaghetti (with or without meatballs) and the S’ghetti Sandwich. The stall quickly attracted plenty of fans. It also offered special Mom’s Spaghetti x Detroit Lions merch.
Curt Catallo, owner of the Union Joints restaurant group, which partnered with Eminem and Paul Rosenberg in 2021 to open the Mom’s Spaghetti take-out window restaurant, confirms that Sunday’s opening was not a one-off pop-up.
“It’s [at Ford Field] for the long haul, and we are excited about it. It’s the first permanent location beyond the alleyway. For us, it’s a fun way to get some s’ghetti in the hands of people who like football”, Catallo told the Detroit Free Press.
However, fans hoping to see Eminem at the arena that day were disappointed. There was no public sighting of him at the game. The jumbotron didn’t pick him up, and lucky fans didn’t snap a photo with him on the way to the VIP box elevator to share online later.
The disappointment led some to recirculate a picture from January 2024, when Eminem wore the exact same hoodie that was on sale on Sunday for the game against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium.
Who was not disappointed is probably Eminem himself. His Mom’s Spaghetti stall proved very popular and, even more importantly, the Detroit Lions won.
