Skylar Grey Is The First Woman Produced An Eminem Song

Skylar Grey again provided her heavenly voice for Marshall, this time for a song titled “Leaving Heaven”. However, her role in the creation of this song was more significant than just recording vocals.

On “Music To Be Murdered By” she credited as a producer and she also co-wrote this song with her fiance Elliott Taylor.

In her Instagram stories she posted a note about this track was created:

Yo yo yo So some facts… I’ve worked on maybe a dozen songs with em… but this is the first one I produced for him… yeah… you see my story yesterday of how I work? Pretty much happened just like that… “Leaving Heaven” was the concept Elliott had come up with… Then we turned that into a hook, I made a beat, sent it to Marshall and now here we are! (Side note… am I the first female to produce an Eminem song?)

You know that you are right, Skylar. The only woman credited as a co-producer with Eminem until now was Afeni Shakur Davis on Tupac’s posthumous album “Loyal to the Game”. But what you did now – that’s new.
