Titles “Kings From Queens”, the three-part documentary delves into the story of the first rap legends and their impact.
Eminem is not just another hip hop star influenced by Run DMC’s music. In 2009, he inducted the trio into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 11 years later, for his own Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction photoshoot, he put on their t-shirt and a chain to pay homage and to represent the hip hop formation that made him believe that it is possible to become a rapper.
The series uses plenty of archive footage, testimonies recorded now, and reflections of the Run-DMC members, memories that came up in a natural flow of conversations as behind-the-scenes footage posted by director Kirk Fraser shows:
