A partial Slaughterhouse reunion happened when Royce da 5’9” sat with Joe Budden at his podcast studio to revise their supergroup history.

That was good to learn that there are no hard feelings, as Royce said:

We not one of those groups where it was an issue with the people. See, that’s the thing. No issue with the people. We could find things to disagree about and argue about but the love is there.

Did a relationship with Em hurt or help the group? – a host asked.

I don’t know if it did either. My relationship with him while we were doing the group was a little bit different than it is now. It’s taken time for us to get back really like how we were, we didn’t jump right in when I came back with Slaughterhouse… We carried ourselves like we never missed a step but there’s always something, that little bit in between us. It just takes time to get passed that. Em is one of those people, he’s just… he’s a distant guy. Even when we were like super cool back in a day and I was his hype man and we would get home and I would be calling him and I can’t get him. I know a lot of people like that, I think I attract this type of people. Marshall, I love him, man, I love cuz he’s so dynamic and he cares so much about just everything that involves being a lyricist. It’s inspiring to watch. So I’m at a point with him now where I wanna tie him down and me and him focus on… well, any work him and me do, focus on cool contributions, just dope ass shit. That’s what it is about right now. We passed a hot spot phase, we are not volleying for attention no more, let’s just do cool ass shit
