The British Phonographic Industry awarded a non-single from “The Slim Shady LP” with its first certification in the United Kingdom.

“Role Model” is one of Em’s most sarcastic songs that makes fun of the very idea of seeing celebrities as role models and life pundits. It was a minor hit in the US upon release, but its radio version was so heavily censored that it was difficult to figure out what it was about at all.

It might be, however, that Juice WRLD and Cordae’s track “Doomsday”, released in June 2023 through Lyrical Lemonade, drew more attention to “Role Model” as it was built on its original beat.

Now, Eminem’s entire following anticipates the sequel to this track, “Doomsday 2”, set to release on January 26 2024, by the same Lyrical Lemonade — the track where Eminem is credited as a solo artist. Cole Bennett promised to release a music video for the song as well.

Meanwhile, you can watch the video for the song that inspired all these moves, the original “Role Model” song.
