Never released as a single, the track featuring Eminem is still celebrated as one of the standout moments on 50 Cent’s debut album.

It took the song longer than twenty years after its release, but 50 Cent and Eminem’s “Patiently Waiting” has earned a gold certification by Recorded Music NZ.

“Get Rich or Die Tryin’”, released on 6 February 2003, introduced 50 Cent to the world in a big way, with Eminem playing a pivotal role both as an album producer and a featured artist on two tracks. Alongside “Don’t Push Me”, “Patiently Waiting” showcased the chemistry between those two rappers, pairing Fifty’s gritty delivery with Eminem’s sharp lyricism.

The certification reminds us of the song’s lasting impact and its status as a fan favourite, after all those years.
