Eminem took to social media to share his enthusiasm for Redman’s long-anticipated sequel to “Muddy Waters”.
Hip hop legends supporting legends — Eminem has joined the celebration surrounding the release of Redman’s new album, “Muddy Waters Too”. Taking to social media, Marshall expressed his excitement for the long-awaited project, calling Redman one of his all-time favourite rappers. He posted:
One of my all-time favorite rappers 🐐🐐🐐… man I been waiting for this @therealredman #muddywaters
Eminem’s admiration for Redman is no secret. It’s been immortalised in his lyrics on “Till I Collapse”, where he famously ranked Redman (Reggie Noble) at the top of his list of rap influences:
I got a list, here’s the order of my list that it’s in
It goes Reggie, Jay-Z, 2Pac and Biggie
André from OutKast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas, and then me
While Redman’s album includes a subtle nod to Eminem on the track “Dynomite”, the admiration between the two artists runs much deeper than a single shout-out. Their mutual respect, built on decades of lyrical prowess and shared influence, remains one of the great friendships in hip hop.
