“Houdini” has officially been named the biggest hip hop song of 2024 in the UK, securing its place as the highest-ranked rap track on The Official Chart UK’s annual list.
The Official Charts UK have revealed their list of the top songs of 2024, and Eminem’s “Houdini” stands tall as the biggest hip hop song of the year. Ranked at No.26 overall, the track leads as the highest-charting rap single, with Jack Harlow’s “Lovin On Me” following at No.28.
“Houdini”, the lead single from Eminem’s latest album, achieved an incredible 104,800 units in its debut week, including 13.3 million streams. It not only marked the best-selling single week of the year in the UK by that time but also the biggest since Dave and Central Cee’s “Sprinter” debuted in 2023. Impressively, it represents Eminem’s strongest UK debut since his 2002 hit “Without Me”.
Adding to the accolades, “Houdini” secured Marshall his 11th No.1 on the Official Singles Chart, tying him with Calvin Harris for the most chart-topping singles in the UK.
Now, the only one of two hip hop songs on the 2024 list, “Houdini” proves that no artist is equal to Eminem, over 20 years into his career.
