Misdemeanor was the first big artist to feature Eminem on her album, but fans want a new collaboration.
It has been so long since Missy Elliott co-signed the blood-thirsty up and coming rapper from Detroit and put him on her second album, “Da Real World”, released in June 1999. Hip hop fans of the new generation might not even remember this monumental occasion but have the right idea about the impact of the collaboration between Eminem and Missy Elliott.
So when a Twitter user shared a dream about this powerful project with KXNG Crooked, Missy herself appeared to remind that being a visionary she is, she had it already done, the first one of major-label signed artists.
I was the first artist to feature Eminem on a record before he put out his first single called “Busa Rhyme”🙋🏾♀️
The joint is spectacular. Timbaland, who produced the track, gave each artist space and a backdrop to showcase their skills, lyrical ability and imagination, shocking at times.
“Busa Rhyme” is not the most known Eminem feature and has gained just over 1.46 million streams on Spotify and over 122,000 views on YouTube.
It is easy to imagine that a new collab from two stars recorded now would take them to another level creatively and hopefully be better appreciated.
