A new profile picture and Mom’s Spaghetti at the Lions game might be nothing, might be coincidences, but combined with 50 Cent’s album hints, it might signal more to come.
Since summer, Eminem’s social media profile picture across all platforms has been a photo of his Super Bowl Air Jordan 3s, used to promote the sneaker auction for the Marshall Mathers Foundation. It was later changed to a Damien Hirst painting from their London exhibition.
Now it’s been changed afain – to the backwards Ǝ in a zombie style, with tears, stitches, and a protruding bone. Could it be a nod to Halloween, which is only a week away? Definitely possible. It wouldn’t even be the first time Em used the date as a precursor to some scheduled activity. For instance, he and Royce hosted a Bad Meets Evil Shady Halloween special on Shade45 in 2020. In 2023, Eminem released a special horror-themed merch capsule for Halloween. Some even saw hints at the upcoming album and Slim Shady’s return. Eventually, they were right, even if the more-than-six-month gap makes it hard to read as a prophecy.
At the same time, Mom’s Spaghetti is teaming up with the Detroit Lions and bringing a pop-up to Ford Field for the Lions’ Sunday game.
Admittedly, it has little to do with music, but the timing is interesting.
The Eminem camp can go months without saying or doing anything, so a sudden burst of activity inevitably attracts attention. Cue in Fifty’s recent revelation that Eminem is getting ready to present his new album, and the scrutiny fans direct at every clue coming from Eminem’s side starts to feel justified.
At the end of the day, it is safe to suggest that this is a clue about a new album. Because sooner or later, the album will become reality.
