LL Cool J shared the behind-the-scenes story of recording his joint with Eminem and how the duo turned Dr. Dre’s studio into a creative playground.

Hip-hop legend LL Cool J dropped by Capital XTRA Breakfast to talk about his new album “The FORCE” — his first in ten years — and, naturally, one of the highlights he wanted to talk about was his collaboration with Eminem on the track “Murdergram Deux”.

When asked about memorable moments from recording his latest album, LL Cool J responded:

When I made “Murdergram” with Em. Q-Tip was playing a beat, he was messing around with a keyboard. I was like, “Yo, it would be perfect for me and Eminem”. I took a beat and texted it to Eminem, like, “What do you think?” He hit me back, “Yo, it’s crazy!” Then we went to LA, and we recorded it at Dr Dre’s studio. Dre gave us the keys from the studio, and we ran up in the joint and jumped to record the record and all that. And I just remember that vibe becoming such an amazing moment, the way it was sounding to me. Because the sound was so progressive and aggressive, and dynamic, and just so unexpected. It was that kind of moments.

As if that was not enough to excite fans, LL Cool J hinted at some upcoming UK shows in 2025, proving that he is ready to bring even more heat to the stage.
