Kid Cudi was a guest on the same show where Lil Wayne had drawn Eminem’s attention to Cudi’s shout out and set things in motion that led to the creation of “The Adventures Of Moon Man & Slim Shady”.

Lil Wayne reminded Cudi about this moment from his interview with Marshall:

Lil Wayne: When I spoke to Em on the show in May I asked him about the tweet I saw you’d put up saying “Rap God help”. He hadn’t seen it though. And I see y’all got a joint eight weeks later. How’d that come about?

Kid Cudi: Well. it’s crazy ‘cause your interview kind of set it off, the shit was in motion after that. Because then we had reached out. I was like, “Yo, let’s reach out to Paul Rosenberg, let’s do this the right way, really connect with him and let him know we’re trying to get up with Em. You know, I had the record and I just was like, “Man, let’s sent it to him, the worst that can happen is he doesn’t fuck with it. Then at the end of the day, I won’t be mad about it”. So I just sent it off and he responded back, he said he fucked with it and then they were asking questions about when I was thinking about releasing it, and all those things. I was like, “Whoa, it seems like he’s gonna write this shit!” He sent it right back and, man, I got him on the phone, I had to tell him! I was like, “Yo, bro, you fucking destroyed this shit. Because, you know, I was nervous, I was like, “Man, I’m fucking gonna get Eminem on my song! He’s gonna body me on my own shit?!” But I was like, fuck it. You know? Fuck it, I just want a joint with Em.

Lil Wayne: Trust me, I know the feeling. I sent a few to him and when I got the results back I just got to go and accept it.

Seems like Lil Wayne knows who’s bodied who on his joint with Eminem.
