With Luther taking the No. 1 spot, Kendrick Lamar has officially passed Eminem and five other rappers, becoming the second rapper with the most No. 1 songs.

Kendrick Lamar is on fire. His latest hit, “Luther”, has just replaced his own track, “Not Like Us”, at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first male solo artist of the 2020s to achieve this rare feat. But that’s not all — this also marks Kendrick’s sixth Hot 100 No. 1 hit, breaking his tie with Eminem, Kanye West, Cardi B, Diddy, Ludacris, and Travis Scott, who each hold five.

With this latest chart triumph, Kendrick now sits alone at No.2 on the all-time rap Hot 100 list, trailing only Drake (14 No. 1s). Other legends like Nelly, 50 Cent, T.I., Jay-Z, and Pharrell remain further down the list with four each.

Eminem is probably not even annoyed with this development, as he predicted this year to be the year of Kendrick’s success and stated that the West Coast rapper deserved it.
