Dr. Dre finally spoke about the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud, and it turns out that one moment made his decision clear.

The Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake battle has hypnotised the entire rap world, and now, hip hop icon Dr. Dre has officially weighed in. While Dre had stayed quiet on the issue, he recently shared his thoughts on The Unusual Suspects podcast with Kenya Barris and Malcolm Gladwell, making it clear that he is siding with K-Dot.

Dre revealed that he had no plans to get emotionally involved — until Drake brought Kendrick’s family into the mix. That, according to the legendary producer, was the turning point. He said about “Not Like Us”, which just swept the Grammys receiving five Academy awards:

I love that record. I’ma say this on camera. I don’t want to get negative. My whole shit is about being positive and moving forward and all that shit, but the fact I heard Drake say something negative about Kendrick’s wife and his kids, that made me say, “Ah, adios!”

Dre has played a crucial role in Kendrick’s career, and it is no surprise he would support the Compton rapper. But for fans, hearing the 2001 producer pick a side just adds another layer to one of hip hop’s most talked-about new feuds.
