Eminem’s ex-DJ thought the affiliation with Marshall would hurt him in this conversation but heard nothing but respect to Em from Michael Jackson.
This story came up during the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson episode where Prince Jackson was a guest. DJ WhooKid who is co-hosting the podcast told how he put in touch 50 Cent and Michael Jackson. And apparently, the first thing Michael wanted to know was news about Em’s musical hiatus.
The fact that [Michael Jackson] messes with Eminem!.. ‘Cause you know, Eminem did the videos mocking him d stuff like that. So, I didn’t really want to let him know that I work with Eminem. Because I thought he was gonna kill me. But he really respected the fact. That was when Eminem retired. And the first thing he said was, “What’s up with this retirement? With Eminem? Did he really retired?” And I was like, “Yeah, he retired!”. I mean, he’s out but he really respected him.
