December brought two big milestones for Hailie Jade: her 30th birthday and her baby’s first Christmas.
The Just a Little Shady podcast host and Eminem’s daughter shared a glimpse of the festivities with her husband, Evan McClintock, and their nine-month-old son, Elliot Marshall.
Hailie posted a short gallery on Instagram, featuring photos of the family in matching plaid pyjamas, beaming in front of a glowing tree. One sweet shot shows Elliot in a Santa hat, cuddled up beside his mom. Meanwhile others capture him discovering presents under the tree.
“Thirty, festive, and surviving — the merriest Christmas yet 🎄❤️,” she captioned the post.
A Year of New Beginnings
Hailie announced Elliot’s arrival in April with a soft, joyful post revealing his full name – a tribute to her father, Marshall Mathers.
Since then, she has spoken openly about navigating motherhood under public scrutiny. In an interview with People earlier this year, Hailie acknowledged the push and pull of sharing family life online while maintaining healthy boundaries.
“I’ve come to understand the struggle my father faced”, she said, “wanting to protect our privacy while also feeling proud and wanting to celebrate his kids”.
Privacy Comes First
At first, Hailie shared monthly updates about Elliot. But in a recent episode of her podcast, she admitted the growing attention around those posts made her step back.
When one photo didn’t go up on time, the messages turned invasive. “People being angry that I didn’t post the picture. I’m like, ‘You know what? No. We’re not going to do this anymore’”.
Now, she still marks each milestone, but keeps most moments offline. “I want to share the joy”, she said, “but I’ll do it on my terms”.
Even so, this holiday season felt special enough to let a few moments slip through. Hailie posted a short video comparing this year’s Christmas with last year’s, when she was still expecting, bringing the celebration full circle.
