50 Cent Says Eminem Left “Street Fighter” for New Album

Bad news: 50 Cent announces that Eminem stepped back from the “Street Fighter” soundtrack. Good news: he says Marshall did it because he’s getting closer to a new album.

In a short red-carpet interview at the Street Fighter movie premiere in Los Angeles, Fifty gave Associated Press reporters an update on the Tupac-inspired theme song and, inadvertently, on Eminem’s next album.

Tupac created an original version of “My Ambitionz az a Ridah”, and he wrote it for Mike Tyson. It had all of these descriptions that matched up with Balrog. I wrote around what he wrote, and it felt really good. You’ll have a chance to hear a little bit of it in the movie.
Em put a couple of pieces together for it, and because he got closer to his album, he fell back on that. He’s preparing his presentation for the next album.

Admittedly, everyone noticed Eminem’s absence from the track when it was used in the Street Fighter trailer. The easiest explanation was that Eminem limited his participation to a production role. Now, the motivation behind this decision sparks hope among Eminem’s fans worldwide.

Perhaps stans should be cautious because this statement doesn’t quite match Mr. Porter’s observations. He said that despite an abundance of material, he didn’t notice the album taking shape. However, Fifty’s update is exciting enough that maybe this is one time when it is better to put scepticism aside and enjoy the possibility.
