D12 FOREVER. 🕊️

Indeed, the album caught the interest of old fans and new audiences thanks to a well-balanced mix of nostalgic storytelling devices, tested and proven bass-heavy beats, and sleek modern production. Is it enough to become the best album of the year? Now, the vote will decide.

To get officially nominated, D12 will have to secure support in the first-round voting. That is where the “For your Grammy consideration” campaign comes in. The campaigning for votes starts before the actual voting, with artists and labels trying to attract the attention of Academy members. In October, about 15-18,000 voting members (the precise number and the names are not made public) choose who they would like to support. Since the number of submissions usually hovers around 20,000, it is crucial to gain as much attention from voting members as possible. Even if members usually vote only in their field of expertise (and in the General Field – Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist), the numbers are vast nevertheless.

So, on November 16, we will know whether D12’s campaign succeeded and D12 FOREVER VOLUME 1 and “TEAR IT DOWN” made the final list of nominees. If they do, the next round of voting will run from December 10 through January 7, determining the winners ahead of the 2027 Grammy Awards on February 7.
