Kim Mathers Arrested After Emergency Call to Her Home

Eminem’s ex-wife is going through another difficult chapter of her life. Each new report has been more troubling than the last.

An emergency call

As TMZ reported, around 8 pm last Saturday, a 911 call came from Kim’s home in Chesterfield, Michigan. A caller reported that his aunt had injured herself and needed urgent help. Following of a possible suicide attempt, first responders and police were sent to the site.

Soon after, Kim was seen being loaded into the back of an ambulance and rushed to McLaren Macomb Hospital. Initially, the Chesterfield PD would only confirm that officers responded to Kim’s home, without providing any further information.

Police report details

Eventually, TMZ obtained a police report on the incident and shared more details of that evening.

According to the report, the officers found Kim in the basement, in her underwear, bleeding from her arm. She was, the police say, “irate and combative” and screamed at the officers to “get the fuck out of my house”.

Based on the report, she resisted when officers tried to handcuff her and allegedly bit one officer on the forearm. To stop her, the officers used a taser. Still, Kim kicked one of the officers in the shin when escorted out of the room.

The officer was taken to hospital for evaluation after the reported bite and possible exposure to Kim’s blood. All this led to Kim’s arrest for resisting and assaulting a police officer.

A downward spiral

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Kim has been in legal trouble. Her recent legal issues have appeared to escalate. First, a hit-and-run in February, then another arrest for DUI in May, then a no-show in court and subsequently issued bench arrest warrants. Eventually, Kim came to the district court; the warrants were cleared, and some kind of peaceful resolution seemed possible.

Now, with with a new arrest on suspicion of assaulting an officer, things are looking much gloomier for Kim, especially considering the reported suicide attempt – also not her first.

In 2015, Kim survived a single-vehicle crash, which, she said later, was an intentional suicide attempt. She was again hospitalised in 2021, reportedly during another mental health crisis. Hopefully, this time she receives the support she needs.
