Eminem returned to the stage this week, but not for the public. On Thursday, he made a surprise appearance at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena, performing a private show for employees of Rocket Mortgage.
There were no ticket sales, no press, no announcements. Just a round stage, a hoodie-clad Marshall Mathers, and a room full of stunned staffers.
Clips Reveal Rare Setlist
Footage from attendees quickly surfaced on social media. Eminem’s set included “Lose Yourself”, “Stan”, “The Real Slim Shady”, “My Name Is”, and deeper cuts like “Kill You”, “Square Dance”, and “3 a.m.”
He performed in casual gear: grey hoodie, joggers, and white Nike Air Max sneakers. Steve Aoki also appeared at the event, which is part of Rocket Mortgage’s annual all-team meeting.
The company has a history of booking big names. Last year, Lil Wayne performed at the same event.
First Time at Little Caesars Arena
This show marks Eminem’s debut at LCA, which opened in 2017, The Detroit News reported. His last official hometown concerts were at Comerica Park in 2014, where he co-headlined with Rihanna for the Monster Tour.
He has since made only a few scattered appearances, including a cameo at the Michigan Central Station reopening concert in June 2024.
No Tour Since 2019
Although Eminem released The Death of Slim Shady in 2024, no tour followed. His last major ticketed shows were in the Middle East and Austin, Texas, late in 2024.
It’s the third album in a row without a supporting tour, and fans have started to wonder if that era is over.
Hopes for a 2026 Tour
Now, in early 2026, whispers of a new album are building again. If the rumours are true, fans are hoping this one finally comes with tour dates.
After all, while Rocket Mortgage staff got a night to remember, the rest of the world is still waiting.
So, let’s watch clips from the private show below:
