The original G-Unit member Tony Yayo and ex-Jay-Z’s artist Uncle Murda, who left Roc-A-Fella Records soon after Hov’s departure ad got signed to G-Unit in 2016, discuss Fifty’s talent management style.

Tony, who is widely known for his loyalty to a childhood friend, 50 Cent, once again showed gratitude for the way Fif deals with his artists:

Tony Yayo: We do shit that these motherfuckers don’t do.
Uncle Murda: That’s a fact.
Tony Yayo: They look like us, they smell like us, but they are not us.
Uncle Murda: Not us, definitely.
Tony Yayo: A lot of your favourite rap groups have never been to Dubai, never been nowhere. They can go, “Oh, you went only because of Fifty!” Bitch, I’ve been to Qatar on my own. I can do my own shows. You could say what you want but I got to a point where I don’t really care about people’s opinion. I read a book called “Art of not giving a fuck”, one of the best books I’ve read. And I really don’t give a fuck. I don’t care about public opinion, or Instagram comments. Because these people are made to break you. They want to break artists. Nobody believes you but I was in Fifty’s crib. No roaches and all that. A little spot, small, small spot. Nobody believes in him. We were playing “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” already in the crib. He had that done. Then the shit took off shit is looking like everybody get confused because they don’t think that your dream is gonna come [true]. That’s why I respect him because we have more of assist [from him]. We have 50 Cent. So I knew I was okay. He sold 11 million records. I’m good, I’m gonna get a percentage of his fans, I’m good. He [Uncle Murda] had kind of more do it on his own. He had deals with Jay-Z, but Jay-Z ain’t gonna never!.. Dude, I always tell them all the time, Jay-Z ain’t treating you like this nigga.
