Percy Miller, also known by his stage name Master P, reminds followers of his connection to Eminem with a social media post.
Master P founded No Limit Records that managed to break through to mainstream success in the late 1990s, and had names such as Snoop Dogg, Mystikal, Mia X, C-Murder, Magic, Short Circuit, Romeo Miller, and Soulja Slim on its roster.
The rapper and entrepreneur also claimed that he had almost signed Eminem to No Limit Records. In the 2015’s interview with HipHopDX, Master P bragged about the interest his label evoked in the most important rappers of that time:
Anybody you can think of called me for advice or thinking “What can I do to get with No Limit?” From Eminem, to T.I. to anybody you could think of, we done had that conversation where they wanted to be with No Limit. It was sad, but [2Pac] was thinking ‘What could I do?’ Same thing with Snoop Dogg. People started checking for us because they knew we was making money. They know we was printing money. They making money now. We was printing money. Everybody reached out. Nas came. Everybody reached out.
Whatever happened back then, later Eminem got signed to Aftermath, and No Limit Records collapsed to be reborn later. Still, both send this inspirational message of a positive change that Master P articulated in his caption:
When you come from poverty, don’t be afraid to grow, change and better yourself. Don’t go backwards, go forward. There’s NO LIMIT to your dreams. @eminem
