Randy Chriz, who brought us incredible lyric videos for “Tone Deaf” and “Godzilla” from Eminem’s latest album “Music To Be Murdered By”, made a video documenting his recent project.
In the description, the artist explained that while not many might appreciate this almost 40-minutes long film, he needed to make it first of all for himself:
I did this video for myself above all else, because I needed to document making the most significant video of my career.
And needless to say it is an experience I don’t want to forget. Making a video for my childhood idol is something very special for me.
I’m not sure if this video is for everyone, but I had to put it up for my own record keeping.
Randy started working on the video on January 17, a month after the MTBMB: Side B release. From watching this story, you can learn how much work goes into a short music video, both technical and creative. Randy was managing his family life with an intense job schedule and occasional technical issues. Still, Randy came through to the other side with an excellent video, the most significant project of his career so far and with even more skills and experience than he got when he started his journey.
