In 2022 Eminem added ten more million users to his following on the streaming platform.
Marshall started this year with 50 million followers. Now, with 60 million, he remains the sixth most followed artist on Spotify. The second most followed rapper and the only artist from the pre-streaming era in the Top 10.
1. Ed Sheeran — 103 million
2. Ariana Grande — 83 million
3. Billie Eilish — 69 million
4. Drake — 67 million
5. Justin Bieber — 66 million
6. Eminem — 60 million
7. Arijit Singh — 59 million
8. Taylor Swift — 59 million
9. Bad Bunny — 56 million
10. BTS — 55 million
Marshall’s position is secured by the fact that he’s consistently ranked within the Top 10 of the artists with the fastest growing following. Over the previous week, he expanded his loyal audience by over 256 thousand new listeners, the only rapper who managed to do so. Em’s monthly audience is also growing. A year ago, in October 2021, on the back of his most recent joint with Skylar Grey, Polo G and Mozzy, “Last One Standing”, recorded for the Venom sequel, Eminem got 47.4 million monthly listeners, overtook Kanye on that, and was ranked 12h in the world.
Now, months after Eminem dropped any new music, his monthly audience has reached 53.3 million. And both his albums on the Billboard 200 (“Curtain Call: The Hits” and “Curtain Call 2”) are on the rise.
