Two albums released on behalf of rappers who passed away too early to see their own success debuted last week in the top 10 of the most successful first week sales.
Juice WRLD showed phenomenal numbers and earned the biggest debut sales week for a posthumous album by any artist this century since The Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac in 1997. He also earned the biggest debut sales week in 2020 so far across all genres. He has reshuffled the leader board and now he tops it with 497,000 copies sold that might be very difficult to contest to any new runner ups.
As a result of WRLD’s intervention, Eminem stepped down a notch and now resides at No.5 of the list of the biggest debut week sales in the US.
Pop Smoke moved 251,000 copies of “Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon” on the first week of its release and landed on the seventh place of the leader board.
