The consistent charting performance of Marshall’s two compilations resulted in them being named among the UK bestsellers.
His “Curtain Call: The Hits” is rated No.6 on the year-to-date chart presented by the UK official body. “Curtain Call 2”, released last year, is also present on the list at No. 24.
Interestingly, the Top 10 is divided between hot fresh records and serious legacy artists. Four albums in the Top 10 are greatest hits compilations. And yet Marshall’s greatest hits album has oversold the likes of Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, and ABBA.
