15 years ago today, 50cent released his sophomore album on Shady Records “The Massacre”.

The album sold 1.15 million copies in first four days and became the third hip-hop album in history to sell over one million in its first week – just behind Eminem’s albums “Marshal Mathers LP”, which sold 1.76 million and “The Eminem Show”, which sold 1.32 million copies. It was named the album of the year by Billboard in 2005.

It became six times Platinum in the US and sold over 9 million copies worldwide. Singles from it, such as “Candy Shop” and “Just A Lil Bit”, are still in rotation and loved by the public.

Fif executively produced the album together with Eminem and Dr. Dre. Eminem is also produced five tracks for the album, lending his voice to one of them, “Gatman and Robbin”. Watch the video below:
