It’s a week of contrasts for Eminem on the UK charts. The Eminem Show notches its 700th week on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums Chart, while Curtain Call 2 slips to an all-time low on the general album ranking.

On its 700th week, The Eminem Show is charting at No.14, down two positions from No.12 last week.
Remarkably, Em’s studio album is charting even higher than his greatest hits compilation, Curtain Call: The Hits. This project ranks at No.30. However, it is a slight improvement from No.33, which the collection occupied the previous week. Still, for a project that has been a constant feature on the UK hip hop chart for 959 weeks, it is an excellent performance. Curtain Call has been on the chart since January 2017, with only 1 week of interruption in early 2023.

Meanwhile, Curtain Call 2 is marking a similar, if more modest, milestone. It has spent 200 weeks on the UK Official Albums Chart. The compilation, released in 2023, has been on a downward trend recently. At the moment, it’s charting at No.93. It is the lowest point in the project’s charting history.
At the same time and on the same UK Official Albums Chart, Curtain Call: The Hits sis performing more strongly in its 726th week, sitting at No.36. Throughout its current uninterrupted 164-week run, it has never left the Top 40.
Arguably, the UK is Eminem’s most loyal market. The streaming numbers are sky high, and he remains the most streamed rapper and often the most streamed artist on YouTube. The BPI tracks his sales and regularly certifies both his new singles and older deep cuts.
Perhaps one day, British fans will finally see Eminem performing live again. His last public ticketed shows in 2018 at Twickenham Stadium in London sold out at lightning speed. Since then, he has only shown up for private events, like 50 Cent’s birthday or Dr. Dre and Snoop’s Gin and Juice launch in the UK. Em even hit the stage at the latter, but only a handful of guests had a chance to enjoy the moment.
There were even persistent rumours about the Glastonbury organisers inviting Em to headline the festival. Nothing has come of it, yet. However, fans haven’t given up hope. If not this album cycle, then the next.
