“The Eminem Show” just hit 7.9 billion streams on Spotify, proving once again its “fan favourite” status. With over 3 million daily streams, the album is on track to cross the monumental 8 billion mark in just a few weeks. It has been adding streams at lightning speed, racking up 400 million more in just three months since reaching 7.5 billion in late September 2024.
Released on May 26, 2002, “The Eminem Show” was a cultural phenomenon from the start. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, holding the spot for six non-consecutive weeks, and dominated charts worldwide. Selling over 1.3 million copies in just its second week in the US, it became the best-selling album of 2002 both nationally and globally.
The accolades did not stop there. It is Eminem’s most commercially successful album to date, certified 12× Platinum by the RIAA, with over 27 million copies sold worldwide.
