Slim Shady fans, get ready – Marshall is dropping something big this Friday 13. He has announced the Expanded Mourner’s Edition of his latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)”, which might bring even more heat than the original one.

Eminem shared the news with a playful yet eerie trailer on his social media. In the clip, Em casually walks into a convenience store where Jelly Roll’s “Save Me” (or Eminem’s “Somebody Save Me”?) is playing and grabs a carton of milk that features a “missing” ad with Slim Shady’s face on it. As if that’s not wild enough, Em’s longtime collaborator and tour DJ, The Alchemist, yells at him to never return. Classic Em humour, and also a lot to decipher.

Does The Alchemist, as a shopkeeper worried about spilt milk, represent those who mourn Slim Shady’s departure from the scene?

As for what is included in this expanded version, it is all still a bit of a mystery. But fans are buzzing with hopes for new tracks, possibly with production from The Alchemist. And, of course, the dream team could be making a return: 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, and Royce 5’9 might show up on some tracks. There’s also a possibility of the album’s original bonus tracks, like the DJ Premier-produced “Kyrie & Luka” featuring 2 Chainz, and the collab with FIFTEENAFTER, “Like My Shit”.

“The Death of Slim Shady” was a wild concept album where Em gave his infamous alter ego one final chaotic send-off. Slim Shady has been stirring things up in Eminem’s music for decades, so this album felt like the end of an era – or so we thought! So, what would this new chapter be – a sequel where the monster returns or a tribute to go over the brightest moments of their career?

With the Expanded Mourner’s Edition dropping on Friday, a new music video with LL Cool J, and a performance at the MTV VMAs the day before, Eminem is back in the spotlight. It’s about to be a busy week for Shady fans!
