A new survey shows that when it comes to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show, fans have one guest in mind — Eminem.
As excitement builds for Super Bowl LIX, fans are making their voices heard on who they would love to see with Kendrick Lamar on the halftime stage. A VegasInsider.com survey of over 3,000 NFL fans crowned Eminem the most-wanted guest performer, securing 20.37% of the votes. He beat out Beyoncé (12.71%) and Taylor Swift (12.31%) as the top pick to make a surprise appearance.
Geographically, 34 states voted for having Eminem as a guest performer, giving him a sweeping victory over other contestants. States that chose Eminem are coloured red on this map.
Fans also weighed in on Kendrick’s setlist, with “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” ranking as the most requested song (12.25%), just ahead of “Not Like Us” (12.08%), the viral hit that fuelled Lamar’s beef with Drake. Eminem was the favourite guest performer in 34 states, while 25 NFL fanbases named him their top choice for the show.
Interestingly, Super Bowl LIX’s competing teams had different takes — Kansas City Chiefs fans wanted Taylor Swift on stage, while Philadelphia Eagles supporters backed Eminem. Will any of these fan-favourite picks actually make it to the stage? We’ll have to wait and see when the Super Bowl airs live on February 9.
